TrendToReel — Privacy
TrendToReel turns trending stories into short, factual explainer videos and publishes them to the social accounts you connect, after you review them. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who else is involved, and how to have it deleted.

We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we don't sell or rent your data.
To find trends, the service reads public signals from sources such as Google Trends, Reddit, Product Hunt, Hacker News, and news feeds. To write a script, it fetches the public article or page behind a trend and keeps its text with the script, so the facts can be checked and quoted accurately. This is public content; it is not data about you.
Only to provide the service to you: running your research, writing and producing your videos, publishing where you ask, and showing you how they performed. Performance statistics for your own posts are summarised by an AI provider into suggestions that shape your future ideas. We use your email address to send account messages such as password resets. We don't use your content to train AI models.
The service works by calling other providers. Each receives only what its task needs and is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. Providers used with your own key receive data under your account with them.
If you choose to connect a YouTube channel, TrendToReel asks Google for these permissions, and uses each one only for the purpose given:
youtube.upload): to upload the videos you choose to publish, with the title, description and thumbnail you approved. Nothing is uploaded unless you click Publish or schedule it.youtube.readonly): to show which channel is connected and to find the videos you published through TrendToReel.yt-analytics.readonly): to show views, likes, comments and watch time for videos you published through TrendToReel.What we store: an access token for your channel, encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM); the IDs of videos you published through TrendToReel; and the performance statistics of those videos. We don't access or store any other videos, comments, subscribers or account details.
Who it's shared with: no one, with one exception you control: the statistics of your own published videos are sent to the AI provider you chose in Settings, only to write suggestions for your next videos. We don't sell Google user data, use it for advertising, use it to train AI models, or let anyone read it, except with your permission, for security or legal reasons, or to fix a problem you reported.
Keeping and deleting it: disconnect YouTube in Settings to delete the token immediately. You can also remove access at any time at Google Account → Third-party connections. Statistics and published-video IDs are deleted with your account.
Limited Use: TrendToReel's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
TrendToReel uses YouTube API Services. By connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
If you choose to connect a Facebook Page, its linked Instagram professional account, or a Threads account, TrendToReel asks Meta for these permissions, and uses each one only for the purpose given:
pages_show_list) and read Page details (pages_read_engagement): to find the Page you manage and get the access it needs to post there.business_management): to find your Page when it is owned by a Meta business portfolio. We don't change any business settings.pages_manage_posts): to publish the videos you choose as Facebook Reels, with the caption you approved.instagram_basic) and publish to it (instagram_content_publish): to find the Instagram account linked to your Page and publish the videos you choose as Reels.threads_basic) and publish to it (threads_content_publish): to publish the videos you choose as Threads posts.Nothing is posted unless you click Publish or schedule it.
What we store: the access tokens for your Page, Instagram account and Threads account, encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM); the IDs of that Page and those accounts, and your Meta user ID, so we can delete your data if you remove the app; and the IDs of posts you published through TrendToReel. We don't read or store your other posts, messages, followers, friends or profile details.
How Threads receives a video: Threads can't accept an upload, so when you publish there we give Meta a private link to that one video. Only Meta has the link, and it stops working after one hour.
Who it's shared with: no one. We don't sell data received from Meta, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
Deleting it: disconnect the account in Settings to delete its token immediately. If you remove TrendToReel in your Facebook settings (Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites) or in Threads (Settings → Account → Website permissions), Meta tells us and we delete your tokens and IDs straight away; you can also ask for deletion there, and Meta gives you a link to confirm it is done. To delete everything else, see section 1.8.
Meta's handling of your data is covered by the Meta Privacy Policy.
We keep your data while your account is open. You can disconnect a social account or delete an API key at any time in Settings, which deletes the stored credential immediately. To delete your account and everything in it, email aifobeeta@gmail.com from your account's address; we delete it within 30 days, apart from anything we must keep by law. Published videos stay on the platforms you posted them to until you remove them there.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict how it's processed. Email aifobeeta@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Credentials are encrypted at rest, passwords are hashed, and connections use HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we'll tell you without undue delay.
TrendToReel is not for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
